Royal wedding creates 11 day holiday for many

Once they have done their bank holiday maths, parks should be rubbing their hands together in anticipation of a bumper crop of bookings next April.

With the Palace announcing the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton will be marked by an extra bank holiday on April 29, those quick off the mark have realised that by booking just three days holiday on April 26,27 and 28, they can enjoy an 11-day break.

This is because the Easter break falls the weekend before the royal nuptials (from April 22 to 25) and the early May bank holiday falls on May 2.
